課程概述 |
We will introduce cohomology theories , and use them as tools in number theory and geometry. Students are encouraged to pick a cohomology theory and do individual studies , and write a report at the end of the semester.
If time is permitted , we will also connect cohomology with group representations , or even algebraic K-theory. The starting point will be cohomolgy and algebraic number theory , in particular the cohomological version of Class field theory. Cohomology of elliptic curves , abelian varieties.

Introduction to various cohomology theories , include Galois cohomology , étale cohomology. Will illustrate applications of the method of cohomology in various contents. |
